Here’s why we do this.
Our family has lived in a wide range of church contexts. We were active in a large megachurch, and later helped start a small church plant. In both settings, we loved the church and served faithfully.
In time, God led us in an unexpected direction. He asked us to step away, and instead of sending us to another church, he sent us home.
We began gathering on Sundays as a family, sometimes with close friends or relatives. We prayed together, read Scripture, worshiped, shared meals, and lived life side by side. In the process, we experienced greater intimacy with God, stronger relationships with one another, and meaningful spiritual growth in our children.
We did not have a strategy or special training. We simply began where we were, with what we had. God met us there.
We believe others are being invited into the same kind of simple, faithful obedience. Our goal is not to pull people away from where they are, but rather to equip ordinary Christians to live as the church in whatever context God has placed them, including their own homes.
